NFL Kick Off

It's finally here! My favorite time of the year. NFL football is kicking off in just a few hours and this year the Packers get to kick off the entire thing. This could be one of the biggest games ever in Lambeau. Coming off a Super Bowl Victory, facing the previous Super Bowl Champions and the lock out makes this one of the most anticipated games I can remember. Except for the fact that this game isn't that important in the grand sceem of things. I know there's hype, I'm excited too, but this game won't put the Pack in the playoffs, or bring the Lombardi Trophy home. It's week one. Still, I'm cheering for the Pack all the way and expect a big year from them, although I don't think they'll repeat. Here's my 2011 NFL predictions:

Micheal Vick won't win the MVP, he'll get hurt and Vince Young will revise his career. We'll also see (or we're seeing right now) the tail end of the great career of Payton Manning. Phillip Rivers will win the MVP barely edging out Aaron Rogers.

Green Bay will take the NFC North in a much tighter race than people think. Atlanta wins the South. Sam Bradford puts the Rams back in the playoffs winning the West. Eagles win the East

The two wild card teams will be the Saints who if healthy could get back to the Super Bowl and the Cowboys who will have a bounce back season.

In the AFC the Chargers will win the West with Rivers MVP type season, the Steelers win the North, the Patriots will win the East, and the Texans will make their first trip to the playoffs once again because of Payton Manning. The two wild card teams should be the Jets and the Ravens.

NFC Divisional Round I have the Packers beating Atlanta and the Saints beating the Eagles

AFC Divisional Round it'll be the Chargers over Patriots and the Jets over the Steelers

NFC Championship-I think the Saints get revenge after losing to the Packers to open the season and get back to the Super Bowl. It's just too hard to repeat in this league.

AFC Championship-I have the Chargers handing the Jets their 3rd straight AFC Championship lose.

Super Bowl- I believe that the Chargers will bring the Lombardi Trophy back to Southern California just in time for the San Diego fans to see it before the team announces it's moving to LA.

Hopefully I'm wrong and the green and gold can repeat but either way, lets celebrate the greatest time of the year, FOOTBALL SEASON! Go Pack Go!
